Stainless Steel Double Ender Bolt Snap

Stainless steel (SS) double enders are great for divers carrying multiple equipment and looking to clip them off for hands-free streamlined diving.

Made of marine-grade SAE 316 stainless steel, these bolt snaps greater resistance to pitting corrosion than other grades. Negligibly responsive to magnetic fields, relatively poor conductor of both heat and of electricity when compared to metals.

Good grip even with use with gloves. Smooth spring providing good snapping action.

Comes in sizes of 90mm / 100mm / 115mm.

TECH PRO-TIP: Why bolt snaps? Why not carabiners? Well, to the technical divers, carabiners are known affectionately as "suicide-clips". Carabiners open inwards easily, without deliberation, whether there is human interaction or not, and because of the inward motion, it can be hard to remove a clipped-in object. There have been reported cases of entanglements caused by carabiners snapping over loose lines/debris, getting the diver stuck. It has also been known to lead to some divers' deaths, hence the name "suicide-clips". Do the safe thing, use a bolt snap. It only opens upon the diver's command - open sesame. ;)
